This policy explains what personal information Ashroy collects, why we collect it, and how we protect it. By using our website you agree to this policy.

1. Information we collect

When you donate

  • Your name, phone number and, optionally, your email address
  • The donation amount, the payment method you used, the transaction ID and, optionally, the sender number
  • An optional message, and whether you asked to stay anonymous

When you apply for help

  • Your name, phone number, National ID (NID) number and address (division, district, upazila)
  • Details about your situation: purpose, description, family size, monthly income and requested amount
  • Documents you upload, such as your NID, birth certificate, medical papers or photos

When you create an account

Your login details and a history of your donations and applications.

2. How we use your information

  • To verify donations against our payment statements and issue receipts
  • To review applications for help, contact you about them, and deliver aid
  • To prevent fraud — for example, a transaction ID can only be used once, and only one open application is allowed per NID
  • To publish anonymised transparency information, such as the district and purpose of a disbursement

3. What is shown publicly

If you donate without choosing to stay anonymous, your name and donation amount may appear in a campaign's donor list. If you choose anonymous, your name is hidden. We never publish phone numbers, NID numbers, addresses or uploaded documents.

4. How we protect your documents

Documents uploaded with a help application are stored privately. They can only be viewed by you and by our review staff, and each viewing link expires after a few minutes. Access to our admin system is restricted by role and protected with two-factor authentication.

5. Sharing

We do not sell or rent your personal information. We share it only when needed to deliver aid (for example, with a partner hospital for a surgery you applied for), or when required by the law of Bangladesh.

6. How long we keep it

We keep donation and disbursement records for as long as needed for accounting and audit purposes. Application documents are kept for as long as needed to review and follow up on the application.

7. Your choices

You may ask us to show you, correct or delete the personal information we hold about you, subject to records we must keep by law. To make a request, please contact us through our Contact page.

8. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top shows when it was last changed.
